Zimbabwean Foreign Minister to Meet with Iranian Minister of Cooperatives
Upon agreements of the two countries during the sixth Joint Commission of I.R of Iran and the Republic of Zimbabwe in 2006 in Harare, Foreign Minister of Zimbabwe and Iranian Minister of Cooperatives met and discussed issues of bilateral interest

Department of Public Relations of Cooperative Ministry reported that the aim of this visit by Zimbabwean delegation headed by Foreign Minister to our country was basically to negotiate a variety of issues such as oil export by Iran, joint project of tractor manufacturing, import of chemical fertilizers from Iran as well as construction of a hospital and a dairy product plant in Zimbabwe to be implemented by Iran.
Reiterating the need for further expansion and deepening friendly relations of the two countries and pursuing a close cooperation trend between I.R of Iran and Republic of Zimbabwe, Mohammad Abbasi said, “It is heartening that Zimbabwe has improved from political and economic point of view, and the existing capabilities and potentials manifest the growing trend in Zimbabwe.”
The Foreign Minister of Zimbabwe noted that his country enjoys a promising and prosperous level of agriculture and is an exporter of agri-products and said, “The government of Zimbabwe is interested in reinforcement and development of relations, particularly economic relations, with Islamic Republic of Iran and within the framework of the MOU, spares no effort to fully implement such agreement.”
